Book Club

For young adults, Book Club combines reading, short writing exercises, and vocabulary development.   We read novels and short stories, tailoring the Book Club syllabus to the students' interests and academic level.  For adults, we are equally flexible.  We work with the Norton Anthology of Western Literature and the Seagull Reader for those who simply want a literature overview or more intensive work in one period or genre.  We discuss texts from all the major genres across time periods from ancient classics to contemporary masterpieces:  prose, poetry, drama, and even screenplays.
